San Bernardino was created 1881 by German immigrants.
Directly by the bank of the lake, the calm place breaks, in the vacation time, from december until the end of february.
Disco evenings, celebrations on the bank, stars, watersports, bathing and Buggy running- as Mallorca- Life Style.

 
In San Bernardino near the beach are some beautiful hotels (Condovac, Hotel del Lago, Hotel Aguario) and good restaurants (Los Alpes, Schwarzwaldhaus).
In addition there are many lunch conditions. 
Apart from tennis, riding and swimming all possibilities of the watersport are open to try out (boat trips for example).

 
To the founders of the today's holidays place San Bernardino ( 1881) belonged Elisabeth Förster, the sister of a german writer Friedrich Nietzsche.
1882, the place Altos was created by German settlers.
1887 developed Nuevo Germania in the east of the country.
In the south of Paraguay the colonies Hohenau and Bellavista developed in the midst of tropical jungles.
